Clints and Grikes are one of the classic features of the water-eroded limestone
of the Ingleborough Triangle. Clints are the slabs - grikes are the gaps
between. I remember this as "Clints have grikes in them"! This is the beautiful
Southercales area, which you pass through on the ascent of Ingleborough
(in the distance) from Chapel-le-Dale.
