December 1999 There was rarely much snow on Ingleborough in the winter
of 1999-2000, but on this particular day there was a snowfall in the morning,
and, as it cleared, we went to Chapel-le-Dale to catch the sunset. This
picture is taken from the path from the Old Hill Inn to Ingleborough. There
was a strong cold wind blowing the frozen snow into dust, and the sunset
colours were spectacular. |
