On the ascent of Ingleborough from Clapham you pass through through the
dry gorge of Trowgill. The water which formed this gorge disappears into
the ground through the enormously deep pothole of Gaping Gill, passes beneath
your feet, and re-emerges at Ingleborough Cavern.
