Whernside from Twistleton Scar
Whernside from Twistleton Scar
13th January 2001. Twistleton Scar between Kingsdale and Chapel le Dale end is a huge plateau with glacial erratic boulders and Whernside, the highest of the Three Peaks of the Yorkshire Dales, sticking out of it! In this photo Whernside looks like a grassy hillock, but it is about four miles to the summit from Twistleton Scar end, from where this photo was taken.
