September 2002 - A short but rather steep climb from the Kirkstone Pass
Inn at the top of Kirkstone pass takes you to the top of Red Screes (so
called because of the the colour of its screes (blue). Of the many views
from the summit this one is looking more or less east (and down) towards
Brotherswater at the head of Patterdale.
