March 2000 Starting near Sunny Bank on the A5084 we walked to Yew
Bank, then to Beacon Tarn and Wool Knott, to Blawith Knott and Appletree
Holme, back over Wool Knott to Blawith Beacon, and back via Stable Harvey
Moss. A beautifully clear day, with the (slightly chilly) Beacon Tarn in
front of the Coniston Fells, with Coniston Old Man and Dow Crag prominent.
