April 2000 Before setting out for Dunnerdale and Seathwaite Tarn
I had an early morning stroll around the pretty town or village (even the
guide I bought wasn't sure) of Broughton in Furness. This is the Old Kings
Head, one of several pleasant pubs in Broughton. The magnificent start
to the day didn't last.
