2001 - Having missed the wonderful May and June evenings through Foot and
Mouth we did a rather brisk ascent of Pike O'Blisco in the evening, meeting
everybody coming down as we set off. Despite the cloud we had a dry walk
up, but ran into heavy showers on the way down - including hail. The first
time this summer I've wished I had gloves (always in my rucksack - but
it's a new rucksack - so they weren't!).
