October 1999 Setting off from the Old Dungeon Ghyll hotel in the
Langdale valley to the bottom of The Band. Then forking left to the pass
between Pike o'Blisco and Crinkle Crags. Over Pike o'Blisco and down the
other side and back to the Old Dungeon Ghyll hotel. A mixed day, starting
in magnificent autumn sunshine but soon clouding over. But the clouds began
to break again on our way down as sunset approached. giving us clear views
across the valley.
