October 1999 Setting off from the Old Dungeon Ghyll hotel in the
Langdale valley to the bottom of The Band. Then forking left to the pass
between Pike o'Blisco and Crinkle Crags. Over Pike o'Blisco and down the
other side and back to the Old Dungeon Ghyll hotel. The brilliant start
to the day before the cloudy walk. This is the classic Langdale Pikes view.
The Langdale Valley was one of my favourite destinations as a boy - it
still is.
