July 2001 Climbing Jack's Rake on Pavey Ark for the first time in several
year's I still had to have several attempts at the tricky bit halfway up,
while cursing my oversize rucksack. Jack's Rake is definitely not for novices,
but, on the other hand, is sneered at by the rock climbing fraternity (or
sorority). Below us there was barely a ripple on Stickle Tarn.
