June 2000 This picture is taken from the summit of Ben Chonzie looking
along Loch Turret in the Crieff direction. When we climbed Ben Chonzie
(931 m, 3056 ft NN 773308) we set off from Invergeldie (about 12
km there and back and 730 m, 2400 ft of ascent) in Glen Lednock. There
is a longer walk (for those not as pressed for time) from Crieff.
Basically, after finding a suitable starting point between Crieff and Loch
Turret, you walk up Glen Turret at the end of which you ascend rather steeply
to Ben Chonzie. You can return by the ridge on your right over Carn Chois.
I was told about this walk but haven't done it - I suspect it might be
a bit more difficult than the way we came.
