2002: Malham village is one of many jewels of the Yorkshire Dales. It is
situated at the foot of the historic and dramatic Malham Cove (a huge dry
waterfall) amongst extensive ancient field terracing (lynchets) and iron
age settlements and burial mounds. This is one of the densest areas for
archaeology in the country!
