THE CONISTON FELLS  - Walk 6
Paths are good and clear throughout.
SD 303976 Coniston to High Yewdale From the Coniston TIC car park turn right along the road, then left at road junction and take Cumbria Way path from right of road over Shepherd Bridge. Follow path NE through fields into Back Guards Plantation. Go through woods and follow waymarks through field to gate on track. Turn left & follow Tilberthwaite signs through Low Yewdale along field path NE then N to A593.

SD 314996 High Yewdale to Tilberthwaite Turn right (east) along A593 to old farm on left (SD 320997). Go through two gates on right then turn left. Follow track to road then right on road to Holme Ground. Follow sign left through two fields. Follow waymark (NY 310012) left, then left through stile through woods Turn right on track then after a few metres left along wood path to Tilberthwaite car park.

NY 307009 Tilberthwaite to Crook Beck Take path up through the quarry at the southeast end of the car park. After about 300m take left fork and follow path west with Tilberthwaite Gill on right below. Turn left where path splits right to a ford.

NY 299006 Crook Beck to Hole Rake Follow track south with bog on the right. Path turns southwest and ascends Hole Rake. At crest of path Coniston Old Man and Coppermines Valley come into view.

SD 293991 Hole Rake to Coniston Follow track down to valley floor. Turn left along main track to Coniston, passing Miners Bridge on the right.
