Clear paths throughout except for the section from Goat's Hawse to Dow Crag summit which can be confusing in mist. There are precipitous drops from the summit.
SD 284943 Torver to Tranearth Leave Torver on A593 north. Left at lane past Scarr Head farm, then sharp right for walled track to Tranearth.

SD 282956 Tranearth to Goats Water Follow path through Banniside Quarry uphill, left on Walna Scar Road at SD 273965 then right after about 100 m on path to Goats Water

SD 266983 Goats Hawse to Dow Crag Turn left and follow path to Dow Crag summit. Confusing in mist as path slowly bends left and is indistinct in rocky parts. Summit is on small crag - easily climbed.
