THE YORKSHIRE DALES - CD-ROMS
Listers Arms - Malham VillageAROUND MALHAM
CD-ROM ND07

Malham is the centre of some of the most spectacular limestone scenery in the Yorkshire Dales - tremendous walking country!

And it's also an area steeped in history. From the days of mesolithic cavemen to the present man has lived in the area. His traces can be found almost everywhere as ancient field systems, settlements, and burial mounds. Worked flints from even earlier can be found, and medieval strip lynchets can be seen in many places.

This CD-ROM gives you a walking and  photo tour of this beautiful area with seven walks ranging from easy to difficult and a huge photo gallery.

And it’s crammed with background information. You can learn about the geology of the area, its history and archaeology, and there is even a wild flower section describing many of the flowers you may find. There are features on towns and villages, plus articles on dry stone walling, local industries, mining, the water babies connection and Walter Morrison.

And for the visitor to the area we have included details of tourist information, accommodation and local attractions.
