THE WHINASH WINDFARM - A FAREWELL TO BORROWDALE?

The path from Borrowdale past Whinfell Beacon towards the Patton area north of Kendal offers some excellent views up the Borrowdale valley. The dark hill on the right is Whinash, also known as Borrowdale Edge. This and the neighbouring hills is where the planned wind farm would have been.
